That video makes me hate Lincoln Park. And I had just gotten over my younger hipster aversion to the place a few years ago.

That sucks!! It was one of the few places on the north side that almost everyone knew. It was fairly unique as well.

I know all my friends loved that place, and every time myself or any of my friends had people in visiting, they always HAD to go there. They said it was one of the reasons they loved Chicago and the people, having something outrageous like that.

I know if you asked for a chocolate milkshake, one of the very overweight female cooks would come out of the back, lift her shirt up..and jump up and down.

Ok, I just did some research and according to a note on the door they were taking advantage of the closure and doing some remodeling - but they are returning very soon.

Read from another person who heard from management, and they have fixed the pipe and are expecting to open within the next week.

In any case, I say good riddance. That place is a disgrace to the city in more ways than one.
I'm sorry but I don't believe it. Like it or hate it, that place did bang-up business and sits on one of the most prime retail/restaurant lots in the entire Midwest. I don't see them giving that up any time soon.

Second, again, like it or hate it, the place is one of those unique institutions that gives the city it's unique flavor and makes it a "it has things you just won't find back home" kind of place.

Are you honestly saying this as if its something to be proud of?

Watch the video I posted and then try to tell me this something done in "fun".

Like Lookout Kid said, there are certain attitudes that make me hate Lincoln Park. Yours is one of them.

They do bang up business by crossing being completely devoid of morals and catering to a crowd which is as corrupt as they are.

What, you mean the segregation and race tensions?

Your objections are noted -- you've made it clear that don't like the place. But it's a unique institution just the same, and it's here to stay for the foreseeable future.

I just e-mailed my wife the link to that video. She used to go there occasionally in the mid-to-late 1990s, and thought that the vibe was lighter during that time period. So to you Wiener's Circle loyals, has the vibe changed in recent years to become more of an ugly drunk mob? The video reminded me of Mardi Gras beads being handed out on Bourbon Street, but with creepy racial overtones.

Well, I can pat myself on the back. Because when I get drunk and act like an *******, I eat burritos.
