Amen, pcamps! Christ is the Living Word of God and we do NOT attack Him . . . we follow Him . . . NOT the Bible and its "precepts and doctrines of men."Our focus is on promoting "love of God and each other" daily and repenting when we don't as Christ instructed. All the negativity comes from mistakenly believing the savagery and barbarity in the words "written in ink" in the OT are the 100% inerrant and infallible word of God.

People today have absolutely no conception of the barbaric state of mind of our ancestors. It is inconceivable for a 21st century mind to grasp it. It requires no special knowledge or training or scholarship . . . nor does it require us to believe any specific nonsense or fables about God or Jesus. This is a constant and false claim. No one is attacking anyone. The belief that the Bible is the 100% inerrant and infallible word of God is disputed openly because nowhere is it ever claimed to be by Christ. He said it was USEFUL. Christ said He abides with us and His Holy Spirit (Comforter) will guide us to the truth God has "written in our hearts" so we would NOT need anyone to teach us . . . and we would not need to rely only on words "written in ink."

I have been on many forums and eventually they get dominated by arrogant, self righteous individuals who can never admit they "might" be wrong and diss everyone else. I suspect it is a ploy to drive people away from genuine discussions of the Bible and what it teaches.

Instead of talking about what the Bible says on this topic, we are sitting here arguing with people if it is even realistic. Not something you would expect on a Christian discussion board.
A solution might be to simply ignore such posts and discuss subjects with those who respect God's Word and word.

If you don't believe Christians know what's going to happen and know the full truth, then how do you consider yourself a Christian? It sounds like you don't believe in everything the Bible says. Do you believe it's possible to be a Christian but not believe in everything written in the Bible?
I don't believe it's as black and white as saying "I believe everything in the Bible" considering the mass confusion over interpretation. So yes.

The difference, Mike, is that back then, nobody would have given it a second thought (with the possible exception of the parents), but now most of the world is shocked. No, human nature has not changed, but consciousness most assuredly has.
