Some of the writings of John are so vague and debatable, that I cannot possibly have much regard a lot of his writings.
Jesus was vague. Even the disciples could not understand Him because He spoke in figures of speech. That is why even to this day people debate what He said.

He recorded what He thought was important that Jesus said. So I guess you really think Jesus was vague.

John didn't write the Gospel according to John....
Well, truth be told, it ain't as important as the LOVE of God. If you really want to know..
The same Word that is God that became the body (soul, mind) of Jesus is the same Word that can become our soul( body and mind) providing it is fed the truth of God and not the doctrines of man
God's Word is Spirit, and is a seed within those baptized with the Holy Spirit, Through the law of the seed. this Seed of Christ in Christians will grow into the image and likeness of the Tree of Life from where this seed originally came from.
The fulness of a mature Tree of Life in us is the fulness of Christ formed in us that is the high point of the calling of the Gospel of Christ
However, for this seed that is Christ in us to grow up into the fulness of Christ in us it must be fed the truth as it will not grow on being fed doctrines that are not the truth from the Word of God.
John didn't write the Gospel according to John....
He spoke in parables at times. Not always. John did not write it but they are His thoughts.
