Jesus was vague. Even the disciples could not understand Him because He spoke in figures of speech. That is why even to this day people debate what He said.
What is vague in the book of John to you?
He recorded what He thought was important that Jesus said. So I guess you really think Jesus was vague.
You are assuming that the stories were not religious fiction. If they were fiction then they were just those writers' own opinions on what Jesus should be saying and doing.
I was actually referring more to 1st John, which many Christians believe was written by the same author. I don't know if that is true as far as the authorship, but they could have both come from the same religious community.
Because it states in the end of the Gospel who wrote it...It was the beloved disciple...And that was not John, however, with a little close reading you can discover who it was...
He says it because it is true...Look for yourself...Nowhere in the Gospel does it state that John wrote that Gospel, however, it does have clues to who did write it...
