It was one of the great mysteries that all those authors over a 1500 year period were all writing of a woman, everytime they were doing anything in the temple on any of it's given feast days, they were writing of a Temple being a woman and one day God would come and consummate a marriage with a true temple and we saw this consummation when the veil of the temple was rent in two. For thousands of years we have been practicing a betrothal and waiting on an appointed wedding day where the brides will enter the bridal chamber on a feast day and the marriage will be consummated on an appointed feast day and the wedding banquet has been practiced for thousands of years as the bride will circle the throne 7 times at the feast of Tabernacles.

All those authors writing about a temple being a woman who waited on a consummation when the temple would no longer be a virgin. The blood and water seen as a legal witness of that consummation, a seed planted in the earth and the earth becoming pregnant and giving birth to the first son of many sons to follow.

40 authors could not have written about this woman and her wedding day and her banquet without knowing that the temple was a woman.

They didn't know and yet this was the main subject of the bible, 40 authors talking about something they were not even aware of and none of them contradict each other concerning the betrothal, the marriage contract, the marriage, the consummation the honeymoon, the wedding banquet, the birth of a son, and the circumcision of that son.

All those authors writing about this and none of them were even aware that the temple was a virgin. That's not humanly possible and any scientific mind looking at in in the knowledge of what it is would agree, it is not possible for men to have written it.

You can also test God but most people aren't willing to do this.
The longest-running scam in history...religion.

It literally is the longest running scam in history. Far older than Judeo-Christianity. We know that ancient prehistoric people had religious beliefs. The role of witch doctor/shaman/priesthood has been around probably nearly as long as modern humans have been around, if not longer. These individuals were generally feared and highly respected in tribal hierarchy, as well as men of wealth in power in the early civilizations, where they typically served as advisers to the king. The problem was, they were generally expected to foretell important things, like the fortunes of upcoming battles, and the general coming of disasters. Since such people are little more than con artists using slight of hand tricks to fool everyone, (think Peter Popoff here) they had no better than a 50/50 chance of predicting anything right. And when they got it wrong they generally paid with their lives.

The priests of Judaism however figured a way around this problem. They produced a series of documents, known as the Torah, which they claimed to be from God Himself, which placed duties and restrictions on the Jewish population. Lots and lots of duties and restrictions on the Jewish population. So many duties and restrictions on the Jewish population that it was impossible for all of the people to to keep all of the duties and restrictions all of the time. So when disasters struck, which of course they inevitably would, the priests could claim that they were not at fault, but the people had angered God by falling to uniformly follow all of the rules all of the time. And so the priests were able to reap the rewards of their position without suffering the risks.

The rewards for the Jewish priests, the Levites, were extraordinarily lucrative too. For example:

Num.18
[20] And the LORD spake unto Aaron, Thou shalt have no inheritance in their land, neither shalt thou have any part among them: I am thy part and thine inheritance among the children of Israel.
[21] And, behold, I have given the children of Levi all the tenth in Israel for an inheritance, for their service which they serve, even the service of the tabernacle of the congregation.

Num.31:
1. And of the children of Israel's half, thou shalt take one portion of fifty, of the persons, of the beeves, of the asses, and of the flocks, of all manner of beasts, and give them unto the Levites, which keep the charge of the tabernacle of the LORD.
2. Even of the children of Israel's half, Moses took one portion of fifty, both of man and of beast, and gave them unto the Levites, which kept the charge of the tabernacle of the LORD; as the LORD commanded Moses.

The Levites have no inheritance of lands to work but are instead given a portion of the wealth and cities to reside in:

Num.35:
1. Command the children of Israel, that they give unto the Levites of the inheritance of their possession cities to dwell in; and ye shall give also unto the Levites suburbs for the cities round about them.
2. And the suburbs of the cities, which ye shall give unto the Levites, shall reach from the wall of the city and outward a thousand cubits round about.
3. And among the cities which ye shall give unto the Levites there shall be six cities for refuge, which ye shall appoint for the manslayer, that he may flee thither: and to them ye shall add forty and two cities.
4. So all the cities which ye shall give to the Levites shall be forty and eight cities: them shall ye give with their suburbs.
5. And the cities which ye shall give shall be of the possession of the children of Israel: from them that have many ye shall give many; but from them that have few ye shall give few: every one shall give of his cities unto the Levites according to his inheritance which he inheriteth.

Leviticus makes it even better for the Levites. Free homes to live in. And if the Levite owners should choose to sell his home to a non Levite, the ownership of the home reverts to the Levite owner again every seven years.

Lev.25
1. Notwithstanding the cities of the Levites, and the houses of the cities of their possession, may the Levites redeem at any time.
2. And if a man purchase of the Levites, then the house that was sold, and the city of his possession, shall go out in the year of jubile: for the houses of the cities of the Levites are their possession among the children of Israel.

Deuteronomy sweetens the deal for the Levites even further.

[i]Deut.12
[16] "Three times in a year shall all thy males appear before the LORD thy God in the place which he shall choose; in the feast of unleavened bread, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of tabernacles: and they shall not appear before the LORD empty:
[17] Every man shall give as he is able, according to the blessing of the LORD thy God which he hath given thee."

Deut.18
[1] "The priests the Levites, and all the tribe of Levi, shall have no part nor inheritance with Israel: they shall eat the offerings of the LORD made by fire, and his inheritance.
[2] Therefore shall they have no inheritance among their brethren: the LORD is their inheritance, as he hath said unto them.
[3] And this shall be the priest's due from the people, from them that offer a sacrifice, whether it be ox or sheep; and they shall give unto the priest the shoulder, and the two cheeks, and the maw.
[4] The firstfruit also of thy corn, of thy wine, and of thine oil, and the first of the fleece of thy sheep, shalt thou give him."[/b]

Wow! What a huge break for the Levites! Three times a year you must come to Jerusalem and make your offering to the Lord of the finest things you possess. And once your offering is consecrated it becomes the property of the Levites.

And it only gets better. The duties of the Levites "set them aside" from the general population. They are not required to fight in battle.

"Why did the Levites not share in the apportionment of land of Israel and its plunder, along with their brethren? Because they were set aside to worship the Lord and to minister to Him, and to instruct the masses in His proper ways and just laws, as it is said: “They shall teach Your laws to Jacob and Your instructions to Israel” (Deut. 33:10). Therefore they were set aside from the ways of the world: they do not go to war, as do the rest of Israel, they do not receive an apportionment of land as an inheritance, and they do not obtain things for themselves by the strength of their bodies; rather, they are the Lord’s host (Heb. hayil), as it is said: “Bless, O Lord, his substance (Heb. Barekh hashem helo), [2] and He, Blessed be He, provides for them, as it is said: “I am your portion and your share” (Num. 18:20)." Rabbi Judah Zoldan

Now THAT'S a scam! Well played Levites. Well played.

Anyone can become a Levite, if it was made for just tribal blood lined Levites it would be one thing, but there has been a way for a Gentile to also become a Levite and it was not always good to be a Levite, people didn't always follow the rules, but a levite should have no cares of this world and he should stay in study day and night, night and day, day and night and if he is a true Levite, then he is worth his share.

But who gives the Levite his share?

Is there some kind of Levitical order that we should all be sending a tenth to?

Where are they and where have they been for 2000 years?

I guess those Jews also wrote about their punishment, their exiles and their gatherings?

They did, and I suppose a Jew might say,'' What did God choose us for, to put us in a furnace?''

But yeah, everything was foretold and we are a witness of the miracle birth of the nation of Israel when it was impossible, the impossible became possible and God foretold how he would gather his people back again and you are a witness.

Wikipedia
Levite
Levites are the descendants of the Tribe of Levi, one of the twelve tribes. In addition to Levites, the Kohens (priests) are also descended from Levi. Both are integrated in Jewish and Samaritan communities, but keep a distinct status.
In Jewish tradition, a Levite (/ˈliːvaɪt/, Hebrew: לֵוִי, Modern Levi, Tiberian Lēwî ; "Attached") is a member of the Israelite Tribe of Levi, descended from Levi, the third son of Jacob and Leah.

The Tribe of Levi served particular religious duties for the Israelites and had political responsibilities as well. In return, the landed tribes were expected to give tithe to support the Levites, particularly the tithe known as the 'Maaser Rishon'. The Kohanim were the priests, who performed the work of holiness in the Temple. The Levites who were not Kohanim played music in the Temple or served as guards.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main_Page

And of course Levites still exist.

Wikipedia
Footnotes
Levites comprise a subgroup of about 4% of world Jewry. Combined with Kohanim, who are also Levites, the subgroup forms roughly 8% of the Jewish population worldwide, or about 1–1.1 million.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main_Page

So not anyone can be a Levite. Christians have simply assumed the priestly role by force of declaration.

Moses was the most famous Levite. How good was Moses at prophesy?

Deuteronomy 34:
[7] And Moses was an hundred and twenty years old when he died: his eye was not dim, nor his natural force abated.
[8] And the children of Israel wept for Moses in the plains of Moab thirty days: so the days of weeping and mourning for Moses were ended.
[9] And Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom; for Moses had laid his hands upon him: and the children of Israel hearkened unto him, and did as the LORD commanded Moses.
[10] And there arose not a prophet since in Israel like unto Moses, whom the LORD knew face to face,
[11] In all the signs and the wonders, which the LORD sent him to do in the land of Egypt to Pharaoh, and to all his servants, and to all his land,
[12] And in all that mighty hand, and in all the great terror which Moses shewed in the sight of all Israel.

Moses was so good he was able to write about things that occurred after he died. But Moses was EVEN MORE TALENTED.

2 Chronicles 34:14 and 2 Kings 22:8 tell of the "discovery" by the Levite priests of a Book of the Law in the Temple at Jerusalem. The Book of the Law which was "discovered" was Deuteronomy. This "discovery" of Deuteronomy, the existence of which was heretofore UNKNOWN, occurred in 621 B.C. during the reign of King Josiah (640-609 BC).

The Temple in Jerusalem was constructed during the reign of King Solomon (961-922 BC). Moses lived somewhere around the 12th or 13th century BC. In other words a book which Christian and Jewish scholars unconditionally maintain was written by Moses himself, and which no one even suspected existed prior to its "discovery" in 621, lay hidden for some 600-700 years in the Temple of Solomon built 300-400 years after Moses died, in a city, Jerusalem, which Moses never managed to reach in his lifetime. Now that is really fine trick. Damn near SUPERNATURAL in fact. A book which appears for the first time some 700 years or so after the death of the man who is supposed to have written is a book with a very suspicious background. Some might even consider it unbelievable. When we are then told that it was discovered hidden in a building which was not even constructed for centuries after the death of it's author, most reasonable people might be forgiven for reaching the conclusion that the claims may be somewhat less than realistic. For 700 years or so, a book of the law of God Himself that no even suspected existed, much less was missing turns up in a building not even constructed for centuries after the author of the book died. In other words, for 700 years the provisions and commands proclaimed by God Himself contained in Deuteronomy went unknown and therefore ignored by the entire nation. OUCH! Now that is what I call a serious religious faux pas.

2 Kings:
[8] "And Hilkiah the high priest said unto Shaphan the scribe, I have found the book of the law in the house of the LORD. And Hilkiah gave the book to Shaphan, and he read it.
[9] And Shaphan the scribe came to the king, and brought the king word again, and said, Thy servants have gathered the money that was found in the house, and have delivered it into the hand of them that do the work, that have the oversight of the house of the LORD.
[10] And Shaphan the scribe shewed the king, saying, Hilkiah the priest hath delivered me a book. And Shaphan read it before the king.
[11] And it came to pass, when the king had heard the words of the book of the law, that he rent his clothes.
[12] And the king commanded Hilkiah the priest, and Ahikam the son of Shaphan, and Achbor the son of Michaiah, and Shaphan the scribe, and Asahiah a servant of the king's, saying,
[13] Go ye, inquire of the LORD for me, and for the people, and for all Judah, concerning the words of this book that is found: for great is the wrath of the LORD that is kindled against us, because our fathers have not hearkened unto the words of this book, to do according unto all that which is written concerning us."

2 Chronicles
[14] "And when they brought out the money that was brought into the house of the LORD, Hilkiah the priest found a book of the law of the LORD given by Moses.
[15] And Hilkiah answered and said to Shaphan the scribe, I have found the book of the law in the house of the LORD. And Hilkiah delivered the book to Shaphan.
[16] And Shaphan carried the book to the king, and brought the king word back again, saying, All that was committed to thy servants, they do it.
[17] And they have gathered together the money that was found in the house of the LORD, and have delivered it into the hand of the overseers, and to the hand of the workmen.
[18] Then Shaphan the scribe told the king, saying, Hilkiah the priest hath given me a book. And Shaphan read it before the king.
[19] And it came to pass, when the king had heard the words of the law, that he rent his clothes.
[20] And the king commanded Hilkiah, and Ahikam the son of Shaphan, and Abdon the son of Micah, and Shaphan the scribe, and Asaiah a servant of the king's, saying,
[21] Go, inquire of the LORD for me, and for them that are left in Israel and in Judah, concerning the words of the book that is found: for great is the wrath of the LORD that is poured out upon us, because our fathers have not kept the word of the LORD, to do after all that is written in this book."

Yep, they were in serious do-do. How does a Book of God become so "lost" that no even suspected that it ever existed for centuries? And what new information does it contain? Let's have a look.

Deut.12
[1] "These are the statutes and judgments, which ye shall observe to do in the land, which the LORD God of thy fathers giveth thee to possess it, all the days that ye live upon the earth.
[2] Ye shall utterly destroy all the places, wherein the nations which ye shall possess served their gods, upon the high mountains, and upon the hills, and under every green tree:
[3] And ye shall overthrow their altars, and break their pillars, and burn their groves with fire; and ye shall hew down the graven images of their gods, and destroy the names of them out of that place.
[4] Ye shall not do so unto the LORD your God.
[5] But unto the place which the LORD your God shall choose out of all your tribes to put his name there, even unto his habitation shall ye seek, and thither thou shalt come:
[6] And thither ye shall bring your burnt offerings, and your sacrifices, and your tithes, and heave offerings of your hand, and your vows, and your freewill offerings, and the firstlings of your herds and of your flocks:"

No more consecrating your offerings to the Lord in any place but the place God chooses, and it better be the very finest offerings you have, by HIM, or else. And of course by the time the "lost" book was "found," the place of His choosing had long been chosen. The temple in Jerusalem, the very stronghold of the Levite priests.

Deut.12

[4] The firstfruit also of thy corn, of thy wine, and of thine oil, and the first of the fleece of thy sheep, shalt thou give him."

Wow! What a huge break for the Levites! Three times a year you must come to Jerusalem and make your offering to the Lord of the finest things you possess. And once your offering is consecrated it becomes the property of the Levites.

But there is more:

Deut. 17
[14] When thou art come unto the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, and shalt possess it, and shalt dwell therein, and shalt say, I will set a king over me, like as all the nations that are about me;
[15] Thou shalt in any wise set him king over thee, whom the LORD thy God shall choose: one from among thy brethren shalt thou set king over thee: thou mayest not set a stranger over thee, which is not thy brother."

The Jews had never had a king over them during Moses' time. But Moses "prophesizes" that one day they will have their own land and will one day have a king over them. Well wasn't Moses clairvoyant. 700 years later the Jewish nation does indeed have a king. And Deuteronomy endorses it, making the position of King one chosen by God Himself. What a break for King Josiah! He now holds his position by right as the Divine Will of God.

There IS of course an alternate explanation.

Book of Deuteronomy
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
"Since the evidence was first put forward by W.M.L de Wette in 1805, scholars have accepted that the core of Deuteronomy was composed in Jerusalem in the 7th century BCE in the context of religious reforms advanced by King Josiah (reigned 641-609 BCE)."
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deuteronomy

In fact, the Torah, traditionally attributed by devoted Jews and Christians in it's entirety to Moses, was actually the result of several different sources.

Wikipedia
Torah
Authorship
Main articles: Mosaic authorship and Documentary hypothesis
The Talmud holds that the Torah was written by Moses, with the exception of the last eight verses of Deuteronomy, describing his death and burial, being written by Joshua.[18] Alternatively, Rashi quotes from the Talmud that "God spoke them, and Moses wrote them with tears."[19][20] The Mishnah includes the divine origin of the Torah as an essential tenet of Judaism.

The modern scholarly consensus, known as the Documentary hypothesis, is that the Torah has multiple authors and that its composition took place over centuries.[22] This contemporary common hypothesis among biblical scholars states that the first major comprehensive draft of the Pentateuch was composed in the late 7th or the 6th century BC (the Jahwist source), and that this was later expanded by the addition of various narratives and laws (the Priestly source) into a work very like the one existing today.
"The consensus of scholarship is that the stories are taken from four different written sources and that these were brought together over the course of time to form the first five books of the Bible as a composite work. The sources are known as J, the Jahwist source (from the German transliteration of the Hebrew YHWH), E, the Elohist source, P, the priestly source, and D, the Deuteronomist source. ... Thus the Pentateuch (or Torah, as it is known by Jews) comprises material taken from six centuries of human history, which has been put together to give a comprehensive picture of the creation of the world and of God's dealings with his peoples, specifically with the people of Israel." (Professor John Riches of the University of Glasgow).

So Moses, the Levite, didn't write Deuteronomy at all. His descendants, the Levite priests wrote it, because it served to strengthen their position both politically and religiously. In fact it's likely rather little of the Torah was written By Moses himself. The Torah, the "Law" of the Isrealites, was mainly composed by the Levites. Which put the Levites firmly in control of the nation of Israel, both politically and religiously.

Well played Levites, well played.

And there is even an simpler test than that, all they have to do is look up the meaning of all the people's names in there, noting what they did or had done to them, to figure out G-d is in control and has been all along. But the fool says in his heart, (there is) no G-d, and refuses to do the simplest of things to find the truth, while finding every snake hidden under a rock to whisper in their ear instead. Personally, at 29, I had enough of snakes. But everyone has their own age, their own breaking point, and so it goes. Peace

Since the Bible is Not written ABC as a dictionary is, then we need to read and discuss one Bible topic or subject at a time in order to see the internal harmony among the Bible writers.

I was taught to recite or memorize basic verses to help learn self control such as:
Let your yes be yes, and your no be no.

Where is the OP? S/he doesn't seem to be answering but has been on the forum with other posts...?

OP, how about Veggie Tales...they're really watered down Bible stuff and they're specifically for kids...we're not religious in my family but I've seen the show because a friend of mine gave some DVDs of it to my kids. They're cute, actually. We don't "believe in" the stories but even my kids enjoyed them. A 3-year-old should get a charge out of them.

Or as someone pointed out, there are loads and loads of children's Bible story books out there.

That was very touching. Your father was a wise man and obviously heard the Lord as to what would be best to tell you, because it obviously bore fruit. Blessings and peace
