On the other hand, I am not so unfamiliar with dissociative personality disorder,and have come across it, in the religious context, with Carolyn Bramhall's book, Am I a good girl yet. Which was her recovery from over 100 alternate personalities due to ritual satanic abuse as a child.

Just having a loving rational parent who kept her safe and didn't harm her as a child would have been good start. Emotional and physical abuse of children has also been perpetrated by devout religious parents in the name of Jesus and 'love'.

True, but then you are ignoring how much knowing Jesus has done for the world. Think how things were before Jesus came to earth. Human sacrifice and all the human suffering. Don't blame the evil found in fallen man on the Son of God, He came to redeem the world.
