6 Jesus said, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."
Acts 4
12 Peter said, "Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”
What say you?
It's rather a question of what God's Law is.
One of God's ultimate goal is to build an eternity called heaven. The establishment of Law becomes a must to qualify entities of freewill to enter this realm called heaven. Law is set up in accordance to God's nature. The willingness of violating Law only means that you won't be able to live such an eternity with a sin-incompatible God. Law thus becomes a necessity.
God showed through Adam that those violating God's Law will have to be driven out of His realm. The dilemma is that once a human is driven out God's realm (as Adam and all his descendants), it's no hope for them to abide by God's Law at all. This is proven in the case of Noah. Humanity has no point to continue if none of them can be saved (to become citizens of the eternal heaven). To solve this dilemma, Grace is needed besides Law (which humans will have to break). A covenant is such a mixture of Law and Grace. Grace can be introduced because in the end, Jesus will pay the bill. Jesus is thus the necessity to make God's Grace possible to be granted to humans legitimately. God made a self-sacrifice to earn this legitimacy.
To put it another way, none of Adam's descendants can be saved by Law as they are put outside God's realm ever since Adam was driven out. They can only be saved by a covenant where God's Grace is introduced. Humans can be saved by Grace legitimately because Jesus in the end will 'pay the bill'.
So the end effect is that all humans will have to be saved through Jesus Christ without exception, as long as they fail the Law and have to rely on a covenant to be saved.
Men equipped with the Holy Spirit... the same Holy Spirit who was in the apostle John who was a witness, and the same Holy Spirit who was in Jesus Christ.
The exclusivity of Christ as the pathway to God is clear.
Praying to His Holy Spirit can mediate to God the Father , yes Jesus still remains the only mediator
which eliminates all intercession by:
Mary ( Jesus ' mother)
Saints ( all believers are saints so intercession is moot)
Anyone dead
Present or deceased Popes
Any great person
Mohammed
Budda
Hire Krishna
Pagan stones, statues, land, ocean , deities of any kind.
The scriptures tell us that God is Spirit, they also tells us what is the evidence of that which is of the Spirit.
The evidence of that which is Spirit, is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.
The evidence of that which is wisdom that comes from above is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.
So we discern everything by the Spirit, for the Spirit is always these things, not the yea but's he's also these things too, how those that follow the bible like it's inerrant and infallible
Does this sound like how the god of fundamental Christianity is depicted ?
