Default apollumi, the same word translated destroyed and lost

Do we realize the very ones Christ came to save are the destroyed ones?
“For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was apollumi.” Lu. 19:10

Popular theology claims that God is able to do all things except restore the destroyed for whom Christ died.

Default Many say hell is locked on the inside

Many say hell is locked on the inside.
But how?
Christ has the keys. Re. 1:18

Others say that being in heaven would cause Christ rejectors more suffering than being in hell.
But why?
Christ has the ability and the determination to eventually convince everyone that He has their best interests at heart? Ac. 3:21

Default What about hell's purpose?

"God our Savior will have all men be saved." 1Tim 2:4

Even if the text read "desire" instead of "will," it does not change a thing for God says,
"My counsel shall stand and I will do all my pleasure." Is. 46:10

God has the desire, and the power, and the determination to orchestrate whatever circumstances are necessary to effect one's will to change.
God has love enough to melt the hardest heart.

Default What about hell and the human will?

Who will want to continue in active and persistent rebellion after they become convinced that God only wants what is best for them?

It is totally irrational that some will forever resist unconditional love, opting for everlasting pain.
Even if one were that irrational, such resistance would not arise out of "free will," but an enslaved will, a will in bondage to an insane mind.

Does God place a higher value on man's freedom than on His own kind intentions for him?
NEVER!
Such a "freedom" would be an illusion, for such absolute freedom would be bondage of the worst kind imaginable.

Default What about deliverance from hell?

Some people receive many chances to trust in Jesus, others receive a few, but billions have died never receiving one.

If the opportunity to trust in Jesus had to be received in this life only, then God could be accused of being partial. The only way He would not be partial is if He lacked the power to give everyone an opportunity to trust in Jesus.

But God is neither weak nor partial. EVERYONE will have access to salvation, for God's will, power, and love guarantee it.

Default Hell's remedial purpose

When we say, "God is love, but He is also just and must punish sinners forever," we demean God's greatest expression of love in His Son's sacrificial death for all mankind.
Talk about justice!?
How unjust this is to Him Who propitiated the sins of the whole world, Who gave His life as a ransom for all! (1Jn. 2:2; 1Ti. 2:6).

To recognize hell's remedial purpose in no way contradicts His holiness, justice, or sacrifice. To the contrary, it magnifies them.
How dare we qualify or limit a Love "that never fails" (1Co. 13:8).

God is not anger though He can be angry, God is not vengeance though He does avenge. These are attributes, love is essence.
Therefore God is unchangeably love.
In judgment He is love, in vengeance He is love - love first and last, and without end.
Love is simply the strongest thing in the universe.

Why is it on earth God's anger lasts but a moment and His favor is for life (Ps. 30:5), but after death (according to eternal torment theologians) His favor is not even for a moment and His anger is forever?
How is it possible that God's love can change in a heart beat?

Default After hell

"God purposed that in the fullness of the times He will gather together in one all in Christ" (Ep. 1:9,10).

God has assured us that His purpose for all will be fulfilled for He cannot fail (Job 42:2).

It will all take place in the context of the ages, "the fullness of the times,"
first the first fruits of election, the remnant chosen by grace out of each generation, then the non-elect later.

Default What is after hell?

God sent Christ so the world would be saved (Jn. 3:17).
The whole world is not a few only.
The few whom our Lord refers to in Mt. 7:14 are His elect firstfruits who labor with Him now and in the coming ages to bring in the whole harvest.

The Father sent His Son as the Savior of the whole world, and not merely some out of it (1Jn. 3:14).
He Whose very name means Savior came to save, not merely to offer salvation.

What is God really like?
Our only hope as a race and as individuals lies in His very nature.
Can we trust Him with our eternal destiny?
Can we trust Him with the eternal destiny of each of our loved ones?
We can!
