Looks good. Decent off-road chops. I mean, if you really just want an off-road vehicle of course you buy a Wrangler but that also costs $6k more than the outgoing Patriot and gets 10 mpg less and basically sucks on road. For most people, it's a stupid vehicle. The rest of Jeeps lineup is for people that need something practical that can go off-road as well. It's not for people who want a serious off-road vehicle, which even a stock Wrangler is not.

I dont' ascribe gender to cars. That's stupid. It's about the size of the original Cherokee, which I'm sure you wouldn't descrime as feminine.

But I'll bet youre the kind that would insult the owners of Miatas, Minis, and other small sporty cars, too.

And? It's more than half the population. Jeep already sells the Compass mostly to women. There's a lot more people that will drive "feminine" looking cars than won't because they are insecure with their sexuality which is why you see so many "feminine" looking cars from so many manufacturers.

Looks like the Toyota RAV4 slept with a Jeep.

It's a replacement for the Patriot which looked the same way.

Unless it comes with Dana 44 front and rear axles and use the Jeep Commanders Quadra-Trac II/Quadra-Trac II full-time system that adds a low range as well as a neutral position for towing.

Quadra-Drive II expands on Quadra-Trac II by adding electronic limited slip differentials to the front and rear axles. When equipped with Quadra-Drive II skid plates for the fuel tank, front suspension and transfer case were also added.

As well as a beefed up 9-speed ZF transmission twin turbo V-6 or the 3.0 Ecodiesel and maybe take it off a fiat panda chassis and make a modern aluminium, Carbon fibre, and other lightweight alloy uni-body like the original XJ and make a proper retro modern XJ and ditch the cheap FWD Fiat rebadged Jeeps and sell them for the same as the new Cherokee and this Fiat Panda/Jeep Renegade junk.

I mean fiat owns Ferrari and the Jeep brands and both are iconic Brands and only one gets cheap fiat rebrand while the other is innovative F1 based Race car that is just made to be street legal and yet retains the classic Ferrari Brand image.

Unlike the XJ that has a local following off-road enthusiast and those people keep the communities alive and the fact that used and Refurbished parts are abundant as well as aftermarket parts are still being made for the old XJ to the point the new jeeps are pretty much cheap throw away vehicles after a 7-8 years they will be crushed and the Resale value will be as much as a 05 patriot.

Yeah, I think it will bomb. Bomb the heck out of the sales predictions and you will see them everywhere. No, it is not an XJ, but no one will make one of those again.
