Having driven both generations of Liberty, the chick car bit might be part of it but it was otherwise a rough vehicle for what it was. Good off road, solid transfer case...but it drove like a truck. The second gen worse than the first though. I had a 2nd gen as a rental...blech. Drove like a panzer and no power to speak of. If they were going to leave it at that, they should have just updated the Cherokee and been done with it. It wasn't quite as uncomfortable, but that was about it.
