While the hardcore Jeepers may be very vocal on the internet, guess who is buying these things in real life? Sorority girls, secretaries, frat dudes and people who hardly ever take them off road. Jeep needs to sell a few vehicles that cater to this crowd so they can stay in business and stay profitable.
I don't think it's hideous.... but I like the bug-eyed look on most vehicles.
If it ends up to be relatively reliable, I'd buy one a few years from now.

With the bug bug eyes it looks like a nissan cube high on pcp.
And yuppies will buy them by the truckload to drive around the mall. Others will put a bull bar and lights on the front, so they can see better in the gravel parking lot at the soccer field.
OK, so I just want a vehicle that will get me through the snow to my shop in the winter, and won't cost an arm and a leg to keep gassed up. The Renegade is a strong contender, and yes, I do have testicles. I had a full size 4wd extended cab truck, then I had a Trailblazer, then I got an Equinox. I love the removable roof panels on the Renegade, also will be looking at the Chevy Trax (due to hit the market at about the same time.)
I was interested in the new GM midsize trucks, but they are 3 feet longer than these baby SUV's! Don't want to drag around that much needless weight.
So, if you want or need something bigger...it is a free country, go buy it. But Jeep will do very well with the Renegade among both genders.
Thank you! You'd think they learned their lesson when they tried to fake an Alpha as a Dart.
