These 2 powerhouse teams will face off at Ford Field. How will the Bengals do without Ocho?

If anyone in Cincinnati had the guts to put their money where their mouth was, no one would care. The Bengals are an embarassment to the city and I get sick of watching and listening to people complain about the poor performance of the team, the stadium deal, Mike Brown's money grubbing, and yet still show up to the games. You either need to shut up, or don't show up. Nothing will change as long as we're stupid enough to keep giving them our money.

The Bengals just might surprise this year - that's how the NFL works. I love Andy Dalton and what he can bring to this team both leadership-wise and talent-wise. And their defense has some serious talent ... if they gel, watch out. I'm definitely looking forward to tomorrow night. Win six to seven games this year while showing improvement and promise and I'm totally with it. Who Dey!

I would never give them a penny of my money for lots of obvious reasons. Then again, even if the Bengals were well run and a quality team, I still wouldn't. $60-$100 for a ticket? Hell no. Baseball is much more my avenue, $5 and a chill, great time.

I will still follow things and hope the best for the players. Couldn't give a damn less about the preseason though.

And so it begins ... Bunglewatch 2011.

Where did Mr. Chad wind up, anyway?

Chad was traded to New England a couple of weeks ago. I'm sure he'll do well this season.

$60-$100 for a ticket? Hamilton county residents should get a huge discount for paying for that new stadium with their sales tax.

No, but we need to see more. A lot more.

The Steelers lost to the halpess Redskins also. So would a Bengals win have really meant anything in preseason game 1? No.

You are right, a preseason win has no significance. But it would still be better then same-old-same-old. But I have no complaints, since as others have commented I made the decision to withhold my money. Have not yet been in either of the newer stadia and probably never will.

Before you jump on me for my obvious cheapness, let me just comment my father attended Reds games well into his 80s. He came from the era when they listened to radio broadcasts when they were not at the games. He could quote statistics up the ying yang. But back then there was at least some resemblence of loyalty to the local team. When it became simply a business without regard to local fan loyalty is when I withdrew. A sports business which has to survive in court decisions is to me no longer a sport. Separating the greedy owners from the greedy players is something I do not care to do.
