Union Staion in DC is just a bigger nicer South Station in Boston. If Boston had a union station and not a North and South , it would be equivalent to DC’s union station.
I think saying South Station is better than North Station isn't defacto wrong because don't even know what technically is north station or what it looks like, it's just a big mix of things. Feels like part subway stop, part td garden, part indoor, part outdoor. I don't don't know technically is north station at this point.
Lmao what!?
It’s all those things: subway, commuter rail, and Amtrak station with hotel, apartments, offices, and a stadium on top.
So where exactly is north station???lol. That photo is the identity cris I'm talking about and I've been there many times. Instill don't know. Is that even a formal entrance?

It’s on Causeway Street right by the Charles River locks and the Charlestown Bridge. Kind of adjacent to the North End. Down Canal Street from Haymarket.
I used to go to Charlestown every day after school for an extracurricular, so I've used North Station far more over the course of my life than South Station.

North Staton definitely has (Had?) an identity crisis. What North Station, the Garden, etc. I was always confused what was what. Also it was kinda dumpy.

Looks spectacular now.
The walkway under Causeway Street was *huge* in terms of making it feel like one big station rather than a subway station nearby a commuter rail station.

I know but I just never understood the Garden/North Station. I was always like which is which? Oh and the subways?? Lol.
But god... circa 2015 and before, that place was an utter DUMP. Like North Station was a joke of a major train hub.
It’s the same building. The station is on the ground floor and the Garden is above it.
Yeah i know ive been there a bajillion times. Its just funnily confusing
