Sunbelt cities are more influenced by LA and all have an LA style to them. Northern/Rustbelt cities have more of an NYC influence.

Easily New York. L.A may have all of the Hollywood actors, but New York kills L.A in size and economy. New York is more recognizable and while many shows are shot in Hollywood, New York also has it's share. If you're saying that L.A is more important to the U.S because someone like Lady Gaga lives there, you must really be desperate.

The topic isn't what city is more important. Its which city has greater influence. TONS of US cities resemble LA when it comes to architecture and landscaping and sprawl. Like i said, Sunbelt cities are more influenced by LA while Rustbelt cities are more influenced by NYC. But over all i would have to say LA has more of an influence. LA is more "popular" than NYC when it comes to culture and living mainly because of movies, TV and warm sunny weather. NYC may be more important but thats not the topic of this thread.

Greatest influence on the U.S.A., New York City or Los Angeles

It has to be Chicago, Illinois, Midwestern United States. Chicago is and always has been the Entertainment Capital of America and has influenced American and world culture via the millions of films and televison shows produced there.

Chicago is also the financial hub of all 50 states and the political epicenter of the planet Earth. All major decisions throughout American history were made in Chicago. Even historic world events that occured before Chicago existed were influenced by Chicago!

Chicago is always the first city in the world that gets anything new and noteworthy... they are the true trendsetters and everyone else is just derivative. Chicago is also home to the greatest art, fashion, and live theatre scenes known to man. The artists in Chicago are unrivaled. No place else even comes close. Chicago also has more calories and more fat content in their fine cuisine than any other American city. Top that L.A.!

Oh crap, Chicago wasn't one of the choices?

Was this really necessary? You should seriously consider slitting your wrists. The fact that you have come back dozens of times with new screen names is absolutely pathetic. No one mentioned Chiacgo, yet you're such an ass you can't help but bring it up.

LA is more popular than NYC? LOL, you sure about that?

It seems like people hate LA. Isnt NY Americas favorite city?

Why are you so obsessed with Chicago?

Someone needs to lock you up in an psychiatric ward.

Culturally, yes, LA has more of a draw than NYC. I would say that LA is much more glamorized than NYC.

And actually, in my experience outside of CD, people love LA.

LA has been getting waaay nicer I think. Check out the low murder rate they got this year. WOW. It would be cool to see that city one day be as safe as NYC.

I think L.A's influence is greatly over exaggerated on C-D. Outside of the Media, I really don't think people attribute that much with L.A. I guess maybe it's its size that carries it over a line it should have never crossed.
