Have a longtime friend living in Colorado Springs. Don't know anyone in or near Lubbock. Have visited Colorado Springs twice. Beautiful Garden of the Gods Park is there & Pikes Peak is nearby. Denver is a 70 mile drive north.

Realistically, I'd be inclined to pick the Illinois version because it is closer to my Midwestern base. However, taking that out of the equation, the answer would be the Georgia version no doubt about it.

Grand Junction...more beautiful area and I think a little milder climate.
