Weirdest - Cajun or Alaska-Palin
Ugliest - New Jersey
Most annoying - New Jersey or Appalachia
Easiest on the ears - the non accent of Florida
Sexiest - Classic Southern (I mean MS, AL, GA, SC, or TN... not TX-Bush)
Mississippi has the weirdest one, but I don't find it ugly...
I think the boring and ugly accent state is New York, Massachusetts or one of thoose state's up there...
Which state do you think has the weirdest/ugliest accent?
I don't find any of them ugly or boring or weird.
Actually in voice and acting classes we have to learn the different accents of the US. It's fascinating and a real challenge to try to make my voice sound American.

Oh wow... I didn't think of that! Westerner is my high school's mascot; I'm a city person really.
I gotta say I knew that, Westerner. I remember once you mentioning being from Lubbock and, as my grandparents lived out there for many years, remembered one of the high schools (in fact, is it the original Lubbock High..?) whose mascot was "Westerners."
Location: from houstoner to bostoner to new yorker to new jerseyite ;)

I actually LOVE a Mississippi accent on a man! I don't know why, but I find it very sexy! I think it's because of this one guy I knew from MS who called me "sweetie" all the time in that accent. Do people in the other states you listed as "Classic Southern" sound the same?
