Mississippi has the weirdest one, but I don't find it ugly...
I think the boring and ugly accent state is New York, Massachusetts or one of thoose state's up there...

Which state do you think has the weirdest/ugliest accent?

Boston and NY accents are great. Our accents are unique. I think the most boring ones are those generic accents that don't even really have an accent. At least with Boston and NYC, we have an accent that stands out. Anyway, our NY accent makes us sound tough When I get mad, i'm told by my out of state friends that my accent increases a lot. My friends tell me they don't want to mess with me just by the way I sound lol.

I've always thought that West Virginia has a pretty strange accent. It is southern but they prounouce OUT the same way that Canadians do - OOT. I also think that Virginia is very distinctive but not unpleasant to the ear. It always makes me think of some great Southern Civil War Gentlman when I hear a man from Virginia talk.

Georgia has a pretty strange accent (think Jimmy Carter) very distinctive.

I love all accent and don't find any of them ugly.

Anywhere in the Deep South. Southern accents make people sound slow and dull-witted, and I associate the accent with televangelist preachers.

I grew up in Mass and I can attest to the ugliness of the accent. I despise Maine accents and deep Southern Accents. Sarah Palin's accent makes me cringe too.

Ugliest? Boston and NYC. Weirdest? Southern states, especially the really heavy southern accents.
