Texas is only great for low cost living and big city amenities. Outside of the hill country it's not a pretty state. I only think north florida near Destin and South Florida are nice, the rest is pretty country.
Which one on average has the warmest climate? If I had to guess, it would be Florida, then Texas, then California (only because for every high warmth it has, it has an equal low to directly counter it).
I find all three states pretty fascinating, and feels like they are all joined at the hip in a lot of ways.

CA is a near perfect state.
Meh. I think a the big bend , maybe the Guadalupe area, and the piney woods area is nice scenery. If only the Sierra Madre mountains went North into South Texas instead of the Northwest towards West Texas.
California. Best weather and scenery IMO, and has the largest economy with the best paying jobs.
Texas would be my second choice. As it also has a strong economy and pretty low taxes, low government inteference too. Probably the best fiscally ran state in the country.
Florida is my last choice. Nice beaches and great weather most of the year, but the summers are too humid and the pay is too low. Plus hurricanes suck. But I do love to vacation there.

But how is it being a Republican out on the West Coast? Doesn't it feel like your voice never gets heard? Texas and Florida actually has Republican voices that get heard.

Wow, that's a pretty huge generalization for Texas and Florida. The Texas panhandle doesn't have that great of scenery, but West Texas has nice scenery, East Texas Piney Woods, South Padre Island, and the Hill Country as well. And Florida...it may not be my favorite state but "pretty country" is a bad description. You have not only the beaches in South Florida and Destin, but also Clearwater (Tampa), Daytona, Panama City, Naples, the Keys, Atlantic (Jacksonville), Sanibel, and Siesta Key.
Texas is a poor mans California and Florida is alright. It has really nice beaches but other than Miami it just doesn't grab me.
