That's way better! It does look like it's gonna open soon after they work on the other side of the roadway. Let's see how this goes and kills congestion... I will want to see a short segment of us 13 (dickinson ave) widened to Greenville nc Arlington blvd.

They are probably referring to the whole project. Just the bridge that traffic flows will be completed i guess.

I have advocated that once the 10th St connector is done that 14th St between Charles and Stantonsburg could see a road diet and be reduced to two lanes, with bike lanes, sidewalks, etc...I think this section near Firetower could be a model for that and turn the entire road into a much more aesthetically pleasing road. With 10th St connected and widened, I just don't see the need for another 4 lane road on 14th. But it needs to be updated.

I thought the 14th street plans looked different from the last council meeting. Not sure I agree with the decision. Bike lanes are great, but an additional lane should be added on each side. I feel that they're going to "widen" it this time and have to widen it again 10-15 years after that due to demand. Every other major road that connects with Firetower is being widened to 4 lanes except this one.

The difference I see with 14th is that it is a residential road. As long as the intersection at Firetower is adding capacity, that is the main issue. And the additional light will slow down traffic. It similar to that stretch of Red Banks that is residential, with widened bike lanes between 14th and Charles. Once it goes to commercial at Charles, it widens to 4 lanes.

I was kinda thinking 14th st is fine with 2 lanes. It just neeeds bike lanes and all that. They should keep going all the way to Charles Blvd.

Maybe put some in Farmville, Winterville, Ayden, Grifton, Bethel too!

They wanted to narrow it so they don't relocate any residents. But it's alright, but I wish it still got widening to 4 lanes. Greenville's traffic is heavy and bad.

If you check out the AADT traffic map, as you can see, 14th st is over capacity. It still needs widening to 4 lanes.
