For the past half hour I've been doing a search for a Clemson team thread. I'm having a hard time believing that there is no thread. Well---- we do now!!
And by the way, Clemson has been lighting up the scoreboard. The score now is Clemson 37, Alabama 16 and there is 8 minutes left in the 3rd quarter.
Alabama doesn't play outside the SEC, any real teams anyway. Therefore, they rarely have to play teams that can throw the ball. When they do, they have trouble.

They played Louisville this year, a team that when they scheduled them looked good. They pass?
Bravo! Well done. Those 2 freshmen are amazing. I gotta tell ya, that QB Lawrence reminds me of Johnny Unitas....

Part of me always wants Alabama to win no matter who they are playing. Being a New England Patriots fan, the Belichick/Patriots and Saban/Tide comparisons are legit. I've had plenty of Patriots joy watching the Pats win 5 Super Bowls in the Brady era.
Tonight though, it was refreshing watching a juggernaut get taken down so handily. Clemson is a likeable team. And fact is the Pats and Tide have never won Championships in the same year. I guess it's the Pats turn to keep up that interesting tidbit.
Huge congrats to Clemson. The hug between Swinney and Wilkins when the curtain call came said it all.
