Rye is a very good school and does not get enough attention but maybe they like it that way sometimes attention is not good for a school.

I am partial to Central but I tend to live in my own world so I don't think I would notice anything that I did not like anyway lol

Still, which one is it? There's a brand new one two houses down that isn't even finished yet, but we bought our house that way. There are several other in this neighborhood, as well. The John Laing houses are very nice. The Oakwood homes look okay, but are more pre-fab in design. It's a nice neighborhood. We've been here almost exactly a year and really like it.

First, I googled the MLS number, found a competing realtor site that gave the street address, which is 6060 Fescue Drive.

Then I went to the county land records: Property Search, Assessor Office, El Paso County, CO
Here I learned a lot of stats about the house, including the prior sales since 1997, amounts paid each time, plat maps, etc.

Then I went to mapquest to see where it is on the map. The location is a block east of Austin Bluffs Pkwy, a couple blocks north of Stetson Hills Blvd and a couple blocks south of Dublin Blvd. Nice area. D11

Then I went to the D11 School site: School District 11 School Finder (http://webquery.d11.org/edulog2/webquery/ - broken link)
Put in the street address, select "all grades" and it tells you your schools and gives you a link to each one.

I wouldn't be able to help much on that one anyway, it's actually not in my neighborhood at all.

Glad to help.

A mile further north of Fescue can get you into D20 schools. There's a sub-div at Woodmen and Powers, Cumbre Vista.
See: cumbre vista development - classic homes

Another 1-3 miles north of Cumbres Vista are Wolf Ranch and Cordera. I wish you could see these areas before deciding.

If you've the luxury of time, cruise the various school district websites to get a feel for them and what they offer. Also use the Index to see lots of good info on schools we already have in several key threads.

D20 website is: Academy School District 20 - Welcome
Taxpayers in D20 just voted to spend MORE to hire more teachers to reduce the teacher/student ratio, and do other things.

We have no school age children and want to keep taxes down; which school district is a good area without the higher tax of D20?

Hmmm... that's why we like cats.

Even Cripple Creek has a school district.

Hmmm... how about Las Vegas, Nevada?
