Why do you need a comprehensive hospital in NE when you have 3 major hospitals 15-20 minutes away?

Some aren't. Do you know that every time a hospital system builds new facilities, they charge their patients and insurance companies more money for their services to cover higher overhead?

Providence NE wasn't able to keep busy enough as a regular hospital. Not really sure we need an extra. Can another hospital be supported?

If you have an excessive number of hospitals, it's much more difficult to have economies of scale and top notch facilities.

Takes pressure off existing emergency rooms, improved patient outcomes (due to lesser commutes), myriad

If it was going to be a comprehensive medical center, I could see that argument, but it isn't going to be that.
