Thanks Tek - I "think" I have Flash Player now.

Update - on the Password issue, I did find to uncheck the start in private browser (or something like that) - I did get Flash Player to install when I went into IE and installed it, it now works in FF.

I know you all are much more experienced than me - I'm still trying to figure out this 7.0.

I'm annoyed about some things: Start menu is so different

I installed my cd from my camera because I really need to upload pics. when I do my jobs - I somehow/maybe have diff. settings but it doesn't transfer them into a file that's dated - instead transferred a bunch (including my practice one today) - it's not doing any folder, I had to drag it onto desktop and it's huge (which may be an issue w/work, we'll see after I take pics. tomorrow).

Maybe it's me? I actually (for the most part) figured things out before - now it's all so confusing....when I check cookies for instance, I see them listed....

I mostly want to do what I want to do, not have tracking.

The start menu takes some getting used to. I still am annoyed with it half the time.

I'm not sure I understand what happened with the upload of the pictures.

The cookies comment: no comprende.

Need more details!!

Sorry this took so long, I've been trying to work it out on my own. I'm trying to figure out how to set privacy settings, etc. (when you go under tools-options) - I don't like when I check Show Cookies and I see all the places I've looked at, even it it was just email, etc. - that never used to happen (am I too paranoid?)

Where? Tools/Options is not enough info. What program?

And if you really, really hate the Start Menu: make the start menu more like XP - Microsoft Answers

what's happened to my puter? It smooshes all my paragraphs into one big one. I can see the little smiley things if I go to advanced but when I click on one, it won't put it in the post. can't log into my banking accts anymore. The log-in button is faded. On this forum and another I frequent, I can't go from one page to the next. I have to go to the previous page then go to the next. (To clarify, I hope, right now it says I'm on page 13. If I want to go to page 12, I have to go back to the How To Thread 1st page, then go to 12.) Can't do a Restore; that button is faded out too. Using Windows XP but had a whole bunch of upgrades done (dumb. very very dumb.) so it doesn't look or act like my trusty ol' XP any more. It's different. I'm too old for different!

That looks like a darned expensive way to fix a formatting problem.
