I could take my chances, but why bother living in a place if I'm going to risk getting shot at for some random reason. anyways, like i said, it's probably changed since I last was there so who knows.
It's really not that bad. It used to be for decades, but not anymore. Most crime happens between parties that know each other, random acts of violence and "stray bullets" are very rare. Besides, different environments have different pros and cons. Cities in CT have higher rates of asthma whereas you're more likely to get hit and die from a drunk driver in the 'burbs than shot or violently attacked in the cities.

As for the video, much better produced than the old one with Ganim. Hopefully the city will get some traction and finally start to infill the East Side and CBD.

I think it gives someone who doesn't know anything about Bridgeport a positive first impression and in that sense I really liked the video.

I don't why ppl give Bridgeport such a bad rep.....Its a nice city ,of course it has its nasty parts like most cities. They could get rid of the Industrial waterfront and rebuild the Train station. Also build up the area south of I-95 in the Eastside. Also Bridgeport should build a streetcar network.

Also, make Seaside Park more of a "destination".....I first learned of the place last year when at the end of the school year I was part of a "celebration" there and I thought it was an outright gorgeous place/view, as did my wife. But I know it has a bad rep for crime and all.....but believe me as an "outsider" to the place if I didn't know that I'd be wondering why they don't hype that resource more.....
