The OP simply asked why there are so many Indians in Stamford. This has turned into a Indian hate/defense thread..

China - Chinese
Japan - Japanese

Likewise, my progeny, if I may Chamatakese is like the unicorn, the pegasus or like the exotic bird in the movie "Up". Rumour has it that there is only one of its kind that has graced mankind in a million years. Connecticut enjoys that privilege lol.

I'm just goofing around, milady. I'm an Indian guy myself.

Parents at the schools avoid eye contact and communication of any kid with those outside their culture.

The high-tech companies overwhelmingly favor them and this has led to a mass displacement of qualified americans here. I've watched many talented engineers feel forced to leave the area, change careers by going back to school, take positions for which they are overqualified for, or retire early because of this practice. I don't like it one bit. I agree with your sentiments. Sounds like it has been happening in Stamford as well as many places around the country.
Sounds like every Race , why do people seem to think its one race?
