Malls are jammed? Do you have a time machine?

This article was already posted. It is full of WRONG information. It says companies that has never been in Connecticut have left. I emailed The Atlantic about the incorrect references and they immediately revised the original article. You do have to wonder about the validity of a media outlet that does not do any fact checking before publishing an article. They seem more interested in promoting their agenda and sensationalizing events than presenting the facts. Jay

Really? Because the Westfield Shopping Mall in Meriden looks pretty damn dead every time I visit on the weekends? I can't see Sears lasting long over there. But heck what do I know? I just live in reality.

That's all media in 2017. Sad.

Milford isn't packed whenever I go. Bear in mind, we are looking at a parking footprint far smaller than it was in the 90s, as sq ft expanded at parking's expense. That gives an illusion of "packed".

Macy's and Sear's each time I go have few customers, next to no checkout lines. Penneys did not close cause it was packed. Much of lower level near Target is unoccupied. Many Westfield "Refreshment stands".

I agree. The front parking lot is always jammed, but it's not that big. Rear and parking garage largely empty for the most part.

The Target, Dick's, movie theater, and restaurants are very busy. Moderately busy in the causeways near Target. Dead at the dept stores.
