Cam often posts trends across seasons. I was asking if it could be a trend.

I got the fire going like it was mid winter.

I thought 42° was cold here for an April afternoon, it's in the 30s around Philly and Delaware.

Ignore the radar, it's not capturing the snow in areas.

Let me get this straight... Warmer in MA (40s) than NJ (30s) and Raining in NYC while Snowing in Atlantic City. Ok. Got it. Thanks.

Anyone want to ski from the boardwalk to the beach down there right now? Its mid afternoon. Must be that sun angle, warm ocean, and warm ground thing. Has to be

4:14pm... Still snowing. Unreal. Biggest April snow day was 5.7"

Only 12 times since 1884 with 1" or more in April. I think that qualifies as uncommon. Not rare. Rare means it never snows in April. That's wrong.

1996 was last time they had measurable snow in April.

We'll have to see what the airport measures. (I'm scared to even think about that, probably a Trace )

Update.. Looks like its starting to let up.

4:33pm look at Atlantic City with some stats. Bump the number to 2"+ and it gets more uncommon,,, but has happened so not rare.

Its been 20 years since this much snow & not often after April 8th. Only 3 times with 2" or more.

So it's been 20yrs since the April 9, 1996 snowstorm.. Here were the totals from that storm. Connecticut got buried with 8"+!

Look at New England. Consider yourselves lucky today the coastal storm didn't pan out for us with cold enough air around.
