Traffic on I-95 die down by 9:45 in morning during rush hour might be little slow downs of 40 mph but traffic not as bad let say 7:30

Yeah but those two pics you put up are not comparable. You understood my point right?

He also used a different zoom level to make our area look like nothing.

It took me over 1 hour to drive 20 miles this morning. That is the saddest thing; I don't care what location it is,

20 miles SHOULDNT TAKE 60+ MINUTES!!!!!!!!!! This area is ridiculous and only 1-2-3 lanes for 95, Rt1, Merritt. Sad. Sad.

really, when were the good old days, the 70's?
Years back, I commuted north to Shelton for 8 years (i believe I already mentioned this like 18 times on here already, in one ear, out the other). The Merritt would be jam pack stopped in the other direction everyday, especially through the no man zone Westport/Fairfield. It's nothing new.
Outside those two highways for long haul commutes at rush hour and lower Stamford, don't see how the area compares to major cities.

But back east, it's pretty much just the interstates and a few major highway segments.
More lanes, more people. The traffic moves MUCH better.

10 miles out here also takes you through like 20 different towns/neighborhoods--it feels like going from Milford to Norwalk (even when there is no traffic on that Mil-Nor route,) if that makes sense.

Which city do you live in and whereabouts is your job?

And, it's also VERY different to drive in it, than it is to compare it to Google Maps.

I lived in both places, did the CT--NY commute (and the New Haven--Hartford...and New Haven---Trumbull commute) and now I live here. I'm just contributing what I drove in for YEARS vs what I am driving in now.

The Tri-State is WAY worse than out here. Additionally, every person I have met out here that is originally from the Tri-State, agrees.

Marina---Westwood Village. I have to do the 405, in the morning. I do have to say IF you are living in the valley and coming into the city, the traffic isn't as pretty looking. BUT--I still hold--I have NEVER gotten down to a dead stop (at least yet) of 0 miles per hour, as I did every day in CT. Their traffic moves consistently at around 20-40 mph.

That's nothing, what is that 8-10 miles? thats my commute here, big deal.

Regardless if it's stop and go or just go slow, I don't see how a podunk area like lower FFC has the volume of traffic in a major US city. You just go north of the parkway and it's just all wooded suburban backroads.
