Whatever falls wont be melting anytime soon either. No 45°+ in sight for us.

Unless its less than 4 inches it might take a while.

I thought this winter would be snow then melt right after. Guess I'll be wrong. We'll see.

Also.. GFS has another snowstorm on the 28th. Euro says no.

Lets focus 1 at a time.

Weather channel seems to have backed off ..... 2-5 inches. There will be lots of changes next day or two.

When the storm gets into the Pacific Northwest today it will tell alot. This afternoon model run will tell a big story as the models cant pick up certain data till this point.

Accuweather about the same 4-5 inches.

Accuweather is still showing 8-12" and Weather.com has never been above 6" on my end. No change. More and more concern about flooding/erosion given the full moon and close setup to the NJ shore potential.

Coastal communities in CT/RI & MA need to start thinking ahead. Aside from the flooding, those flooding waters might even freeze up. Hopefully power stays on for everyone! (weren't we just talking about generators? lol)

Yup. This is not a done deal. NWS in Taunton states,

"Keep in mind there are members from both the eps and gefs that keep
the bulk of the precipitation offshore with just a glancing blow to
southern New England."

USA Today article on the possible upcoming storm. One interesting thought it mentions that I didn't think of is that it could be the first time in 13 years that EVERY part of the Boston-DC corridor gets 1 foot or more of snow from a storm. Since we've had quite a few big storms in that time (more than many other eras) I never thought about that, but it makes sense, i.e. some storms dumped a foot or more "south" (i.e. DC to Philly or DC to NYC) but less in New England and vice versa (i.e. "north" as in New England but less in the Mid-Atlantic or perhaps from Boston to NYC but less from Philly on south)

Winter storm forecast to wallop East by Friday

I'm thinking the latest models showing more of it falling south from PA to VA probably means it won't be a foot plus in the ENTIRE corridor though, even if the entire corridor gets significant snow.

New Bernie video.

Simple, not technical but does mention why there could be less snow for North and NW areas but also sees less chances this storm is a nothing.

Highlights CT inside the heavy total zone.

Video wont work with Explorer
