That's why I voted for Bridgeport, because when we go to the beach it is typically in Bridgeport (or Stratford). We went to Pleasure Beach in Bridgeport last year and really enjoyed the area.

Surprised at votes against Chester. One of the most incredibly charming town centers in the whole state with great restaurants and a brewery. Beautiful town overall with many antique homes and beautiful countryside. East Hampton is pretty nondescript in comparison.

No one can deny the magnitude of what Danny K has put forth here. The energy, enthusiasm, and unbridled passion displayed here is a testament to what true hard work is all about. It speaks volumes.

With that said, frankly I'm very disappointed that some communities got a first round free pass. It already shows favoritism.
We all know Fairfield and Milford are going far, but come on.

Nevertheless, I'll partake.

Thank You so Much for the appreciation Steve!!! Means a lot.

I would like to assure you that the towns getting a first round free pass is not favoritism at all. It was clearly done randomly by draw and based on the performance of towns in the last two tournaments (this is your first one, so you probably didn't vote in the last 2 past years but I linked them in the first post and you can fact check it if you want).

I mean Connecticut has 169 towns, you cannot have all towns in every round. You will end up with an odd number of towns many times, and what are you supposed to do with them? In previous tournaments I gave towns with the greatest wins against their opponents free passes whenever I came to an odd number, but really hated doing that as I thought it was kind of unfair to give towns passes in the middle, so I thought the best thing to do is to take the towns that went really far in the past tournaments and give them free passes. That way we will have no free passes in any of the future rounds. You get it? How else am I supposed to handle that odd number problem? Trust me, the seeding was definitely based on how far the towns went in the last two tournaments. Ask the other voters here, they probably remember. No favoritism or rigging at all.

Honestly they are both very beautiful towns. The reason I voted East Hampton was because I really like Airline State Park Trail, and also its proximity to more amenities. Chester is not that far either, but East Hampton is right by Middletown which is a small city, and also right in the middle between the Hartford Metropolitan area and the coast. It is also what situated between Middletown and the whole Glastonbury/Marlborough area which is probably my favorite area of the whole state that is not coastal.

One of the most surprising things to me so far is that Seymour is beating Southbury. Really? Southbury is a very beautiful town. Seymour is alright in my opinion, maybe its just me, but I'm not a huge fan of the whole Ansonia/Derby/Seymour area.
