I spent a brief stint in FFC and made friends there and across the NYC metro area, everything from professional circles to social and religious circles. I find that most people respond positively if you are able to make the effort and show that you are reasonable person.

As with most places, the key to making friends in Fairfield is being involved in something with the community, whether it's something at the school, sports teams, a church, etc. Since I'm deeply involved with my church now, I practically have to beat new friends off with a stick. But if you keep to yourself, or try to make friends in more random or "freelance" situations, it will be more difficult.
