Before you jump all over someone elses post you should have your facts straight. Cruikshl was responding to a disgusting post that the moderator deleted and wasn't being snide.

Hmm........

Something tells me that that chimp spent everyday in past summers lounging next to the pool, drinking martinis and smoking cigars.

The news said the lady lost her eyes, nose, and most of her face, among other injuries. I feel so sorry for this person who did nothing to deserve that attack.
I worked with a guy years ago who had a little monkey he kept in a cage but let it out to play and eat, etc.
One day he let it out to feed it and the monkey bit the outside of his right wrist almost all the way through. There was a big U-shaped wound. He was off work for over 10 months and never did regain full function of his right hand in his life.
He had this monkey for years and it had never been aggressive before.
Please folks, if you have, or know someone that does have an exotic or undomesticated animal, be very aware that what may seem ok now could very well turn into tragedy in the future.
What happened to the monkey?

This is a longer 911 recording than the one I've heard before.

Oh, I listened to this audio last night, then I could not Sleep!

It is very disturbing and bone chilling to hear, just be prepared, you'd probably have to be a stone to not have it affect you and get you mad, this isn't to say that we aren't already angry and horrified already...

I refuse to listen to it because there is no value in doing so aside from sensationalism.

I know what happened, I don't need to hear a real life horror film.

I would advise anyone to think about that before clicking on the link.

In case anyone is interested, this is a great article about St. James and his monkey Moe. Does anyone remember the story? St. James was the victim of a brutal attack by two chimps who got out of their cages when he was visiting Moe for Moe's 39th birthday. He loved Moe more than anything. It is such a sad story.
