i also like the maritime center... we try to go to a few places each summer... one of our favorite places is the bronx zoo.

They actually renovated and expanded the entire aquarium in 1999. It is quite an impressive and fun place to go. There is a price tag, but if you want the full aquarium experience, then I would most definitely recommend a trip to the Mystic Aquarium.

If you haven't been since the aquarium was new... they used to have a dolphin show back then... then Belugas. It was too much stress on them and some died, so last time I went the dolphins were gone and the whales were outside... the show was sea lions.

You also didn't have to deal with the Casino traffic back then, so bring a good map of the back roads. I come from the quiet corner so I follow 201 (from exit 86 I 395) right into 27 in Mystic... I only hit casino traffic for the tiny bit that 201 and 2 merge.

I have relatives right off of good 'ole exit 89.......

Love that area.
