Jim's a complete nutjob, sounds like he shares a lot of views with his ex Jenny McCarthy. Don't know why that loser who abandoned his family is all of a sudden so concerned about kids.
Honestly, celebrities should be banned from talking about anything science related. These actors, who'd have been regular Joes/Janes if some smug agent didn't think they had "the look", have absolutely no say in anything other than how to look hot on camera. Unfortunately, impressionable voters who even more unfortunately vote, won't realize that, and will take them seriously.
Coincidence? Just be a good sport and get with the program. Or? Naples, Florida, is not a high crime area. After tourism, the top industry is MEDICINE. Bonita Springs where this Doctor lived is a very nice, family oriented area about 20 miles from where I live.
can you explain why autism rates are rising so fast. By Joanna Walters, New York6:43PM GMT 28 Mar 2014
The number of children diagnosed with autism is soaring in America and more girls are now being identified as suffering from the disorder predominantly associated with boys, according to a new report.
One in 68 young people in the US is now identified as suffering from conditions on the autistic spectrum, an increase of 30 percent from just two years ago.
The poster just explained why based on new research. More people are having kids later, which means older eggs and sperm, which means flawed genetic material (or too young), which leads to birth defects and developmental issues. That's not hard to understand and makes more sense than vaccines causing brain developmental issues in already healthy children.

Oh and of course scientists dont ever make mitakes, not big ones anyway.

He's Canadian, perhaps he needs to address vaccinations rules in his own country.
That's why he's able to speak about it without any credibility, as during his upbringing he would have gotten all of his shots with his immunization card showing those being provided to his school as proof. While not totally universally applied across the country, it was the norm in Canada for doctors to immunize and note each shot on a card provided to parents who then were asked to show same at the commencement of school year. Immunization was actually done in some cases at the schools themselves with kids lined up going around the school gymnasium getting their shots.
Back in the day, just before his comparatively irrelevant presence, measles, mumps, chicken-pox, lockjaw from stepping on rusty nails, poliomyelitis and many other things were of a frequency that parents rushed to get their children immunized against those killers. Thanks to those parents these idiots can spout nonsense due to never having been threatened with the alternative of having their boy become sterile, their daughter scarred with terrible skin craters or watching their child living out his/her life confined to an Iron lung 24/7.

Let's see now; perhaps doctors are now better able to recognize the various types of autism? Perhaps the record keeping is now catching up to the incident rate? The incident rate in other countries is the same but records are lagging? Doctors are, heaven forbid, diagnosing autism whereas it might instead be a case of ADD, asperger's or some other nefarious problem? Other countries have an even higher rate of immunization than the U.S. but fewer cases of autism?
Can you explain why, throughout numerous decades when the bulk of us were getting vaccinated, the incident rate for autism wasn't of concern?
Let's all rush to blame ALL the vaccines because, after all, we don't have a freak'n clue as to what's ACTUALLY causing autism...... Seems wise. eh?
Next up........some quack says lower I/Q's caused by cutting of the umbilical cord so now placenta must come out attached and must be allowed to rot off naturally.
On a broader not....it appears more than a few on this thread take all of this a little too personal. Guessing some of you work in the biz/that's how you make your living or you just feel strongly about it and have a hard time seeing another view/outside of the "vaccine good/good decision by gov" and if anything is mentioned to even question such a decision that could lead to more gov control that some parents feel gov should have no say. How dare one even question it all. More power to you. Gov knows best about everything is the answer I'm getting in a roundabout way from more than a few people here and parents just have to sit back and take what's handed out to them. I ask where does it end, where does gov control trump parental decisions, and some get confused and dance around the point. I suppose that alone answers volumes.
