Legal and moral are not always the same thing, are they? We are not discussing the legality of abortion but guilt stemming from the realization of its immorality.

I had an abortion many years ago after prenatal diagnosis of anencephaly. I have no regrets. Sadness, yes, but no regrets.

Not after you have killed it there isn't. You can pretend it's not a human being. Many delude themselves in this way , but it's a lie. You do know that in many states a person can be prosecuted for murder for causing the death of an unborn child.

What is immoral is to try to guilt women into carrying out pregnancies they don't want.

Then how do you explain the guilt some women feel when they put a child up for adoption?

Is adoption immoral?

I don't remember anyone saying it was a noble decision.

The subject being discussed was most women don't regret having one. No one said it was a noble decision.

Too bad they can't ask those who would have grown up to speak for themselves.

Most Women Who Have Abortions Don
Makes sense.

Are they supposed to spend the rest of their lives in mourning? Should they have a memorial service every year for a zygote? And spend time wondering what might have been?

Women have their own reasons for having abortions and it is nobody's business but theirs.

Society doesn't care about those that were born unwanted and poor or become society's problems in the form of criminals or "takers." Some in society only care about them when they are a couple of cells, but not when they are actually, gasp--people.

Taking away choice is a serious thing.

Not everyone feels the same: an equally current account: Women share their post-abortion pain and regret | Live Action News and http://www.lovematters.com/women.htm and The abortion accounts of 26 women weep pain and regret and remorse | NRL News Today and Post Abortion: Regrets of Women who had an Abortion

I have only known one person that had an abortion and every time she drove past a school yard, she said she wondered which one of the little girls hers would have looked like. It had been a few years since she had the abortion.

Abortion is a money maker and yet another major part of the medical machine.

I cannot imagine ending the life of my own baby for any reason. I had one child and we adopted an infant with Down syndrome and we were SO happy to be chosen to parent that little baby boy since there was and is a waiting list for babies and children with Down syndrome. Life is so precious as is each and every baby.
