I simply don't believe you when you say that "almost everyone you know" is unsure about how to address them. It's really not difficult. Someone walks up to you and shakes your hand, introduces herself as Brianna, then Brianna is a her, even if Brianna looks like a man.
So you're saying Obama's mother is a "him" because her name is Stanley.
Firing someone because they are transgender, sounds legal to me.
You don't have to say a word about their gender issues.
Just say they aren't a "good fit". Companies discriminate all the time in hiring/firing and have it down pat to keep it generic if you ask. That's even if they reply to your question about why you weren't hired.

Yet another who can't read. Had Obama's mother been a transgender who identified as a male for life, then yes. If not, then no.
But you already knew that.

So it's too much to ask to call someone who has felt like the opposite gender for as long as they can remember... the opposite gender? Tell me, how does it negatively impact your life to call someone who says they are a woman a woman or vice versa?

LOL..people are conditioned to call a guy a guy when they see a guy standing in front of them.

Oftentimes you won't even know if someone is transgender. Especially if it's a female to male switch. They don't have to tell you, and many lead their lives without ever referring to it to coworkers and other casual acquaintances. It's possible you've met transgender people, or come across them, and didn't even know it. It's possible you will never know.

And then that would not be an issue in this thread..right ?
