I actually think the guy should have been made to make a public apology to the man instead of being fired. It likely would have had a bigger impact.
why? He didnt publicly call the guy a fatty, the idiot did that himself by taking it public. no sympathy here, I'm
sick of this upcoming generation of sissies that do nothing but look for ways to be offended and cry poor me poor me-grow up and get a spine instead of being weak.

Why is this so over some people's heads? Goals of a business owner are to get repeat customers, new customers, and build business. Doesn't happen when you insult customers. In the day and age of social media people need to be MORE aware of this. I'm guessing folks who think the waiter referring to the customer as fatty is funny or no big deal do not own businesses.

Its not over anyone's head. Im sure most people are aware that businesses want to make money and get new and repeat customers. The problem is, when you have an issue with a particular place of business, you go through the chain of command until you get reasonable results. If youre not satisfied after that, then dont give that comapny anymore of your business, and move on with your life. This fatty decided to cry to the internet instead of handling it like an adult.

You calling the kid "fatty" & then posting "handling it like an adult" in the same sentence....oh the irony.

I meant in lieu of firing. The owner/father obviously wanted the kid to be punished.

Yup. Another local non- story that somehow becomes 'news' in our perpetually Victimized/outraged society.
