Fired works I guess. Other options include, taking the cost of the man's meal out of the kids check. Offer the guy a gym membership, and take the cost of it out of the kid's check. Buy the guy a treadmill, and take it out of the kid's check. I guess firing is a little easier
Since the fired server is the restaurant owner's son, I'll trust the father to know the most effective way to teach his son a lesson.
Geez.. we all need to lighten up a little. If someone called me fatty.. it might get my attention, even hurt my feelings a bit. I would let the server know what I thought and perhaps the owner as well but I will be damned if I would take a photo of the receipt and post it on Facebook to let everyone know that not only am I a Fatty but I am also a self conscious dimwit... geeez... get over it already...

Exactly, or the fatty could just go to the gym and eat better, then he wont be called fat anymore. People dont seem to like that option though
I would. Being "fat" is a health issue and should be looked at as such. Insulting someone has no place in the service industry. If someone is going to use that kind of behavior in the service industry, said person should be fired, period.
He was a teenager, although it does not make it right but they can be very cruel and immature just like some adults I know.
