So... there is nothing else to learn from this? Just..."play stupid games, win stupid prizes"? That's it? Well alrighty then. See you in the next gun violence thread then. And the next. And... ...
This wasn't "gun violence", the guns performed as designed, the guns didn't break any laws or attack anyone.
The idea that the stupidest criminals in the country should have any influence whatsoever over the rights of law-abiding, background-checked individuals like myself is the ignorant notion you're trying to sell.
If anything, this incident reinforces the universal truth that law-abiding citizens should be able to carry their irons anywhere, since both the "fugitive" and the bounty-clowns involved weren't deterred from breaking gun laws (like being a fugitive with a gun, or using a firearm in the commission of a felony kidnapping). The cops were there in plenty of time to file a report & take lots of pictures, as per usual. Making criminal actions "double x-tra illegal" doesn't prevent crime, or protect the innocent.
I suppose anyone can hunt down criminals, but real bounty hunters are professional about it. These guys were a disaster waiting to explode on somebody. Thank our good Lord that no one else got shot.
CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Seven men who are either bondsmen or bounty hunters are facing first-degree murder charges for shooting and killing a man they believed to be a wanted fugitive.
Jalen Johnson, also known as Jalen Johnson-Milan, died after one of the men opened fire on a car he was riding in on April 23.

There is much to learn from this. The profession of bounty hunters is poorly regulated. They have a purpose and role - but some act professional, some are just thugs or wannabe cops.
And to classify this as simply a "gun violence" thread is simplifying the issue. But I suspect you have another agenda (obviously with your title) - and you can take you and your agenda back to the cesspool called P&C forum.
I'll say it for the 8th time in this thread: These guys weren't bounty hunters. They were security guards carrying guns posing as federal agents.
A fact that seems lost as people use this to go on rants and tirades. Is actually reading really become such an outdated practice?
