Wow - what idiots. Trying to corner this guy in a car dealership with a lot of innocent civilians/bystanders around?! Where did these guys get trained?! Or rather, did they receive any training?! I'm not in this line of work, but it's obvious they should have known better. A stray bullet could easily have killed someone nearby.

I don't know where the news story even gets off calling them "bounty hunters" - they didn't call *themselves* bounty hunters & they're not licensed to be bounty hunters. They were criminals attempting to kidnap another criminal using firearms. The news story claimed the guy with the warrants "instigated" the shooting & that isn't accurate either - he shot two thugs falsely claiming to be cops who were trying to kidnap him with guns.
As for the warrants - meth, DUI & assaulting an officer, they're not the types of things your average nun gets busted for, but assaulting a cop can be anything & that's a charge that gets pled down pretty frequently.. Based on the info presented the guy they were going after might not even be that big of a dirtbag.

Yep. Something real bounty hunters wouldn't do if there was a risk of an armed confrontation. And announcing themselves a federal agents?! Oh please! The video of this was just crazy. These supposed "bounty hunters" were serious clowns. It sounded like several bricks of firecrackers going off with ye old spray and pray trigger control in full plumage. I don't know what the intent was behind the masquerade as federal agents, or where the bounty hunter thing came from, but these guys were (obviously) neither.
It truly is fortunate that nobody else was hurt with all the shooting that went on. It should be interesting as the investigations goes on to find out what the true motives of this pair of "bounty hunters" actually were.
You should have seen the coworkers of the "bounty hunters".... right off the bat stating that these individuals would never misrepresent them selves... they are professional.....
As far as I'm concerned...a satisfactory ending. Bounty hunters are scum..and need to be legislated out of existence.
This incident illustrates why...thank God no innocents were injured or killed.
They were NOT bounty hunters. They were dumb *****.

They were also not licensed bounty hunters but commissioned security guards. So they broke numerous laws here. Not wearing uniforms (security guards must wear uniforms at all times) and announcing they were federal agents (a big no no).
Wannabees in so many ways. As a Vietnam vet friend of mine says, xin loi!

Sounds like nothing of value was lost, imho.. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
Good take. The fact that no innocents bought it is a By The Grace Of God moment.
Sorry that the bounty hunters died but what they did was ridiculous to approach this man inside the car dealership where other people are around. And apparently they weren't good at their job...the dude even dropped his gun.
Thank goodness, no innocent bystander was hurt. Regardless, rest in peace.
Mall cops with guns, guys only qualified to catch shoplifters at your local wallmart thinking they are Hawaii Five-Oh. I can't even count the number of mistakes they made here.
There are professional bounty hunters that follow the law and train for proper apprehension of fugitives.
These guys are not that.
So... there is nothing else to learn from this? Just..."play stupid games, win stupid prizes"? That's it? Well alrighty then. See you in the next gun violence thread then. And the next. And... ...
