Just list all the nationwide fast food chains, and then eliminate the burger joints. What do you have left? Nobody goes to TB for burgers. But the people who like burgers more than tacos split their vote among the many different burger chains.
If the poll were burgers vs tacos (or Mexican) burgers would win in a landslide.
Taco Bell is crap, but I am not surprised, most American's wouldn't know good Mexican food if it slapped them in the head.
As someone else already pointed out, with 7 distinctly different regional cuisines, it is much like American food. Similar in some instances, but traditional Southern dishes are very different from traditional New England dishes.

Yeah, I got that.... I was just clarifying for those who look at numbers and don't read the text. You live in TX so understand the many different distinctions, even among Mexicans from different Mexican states.
I've seen statistics showing the other way as well, but that's besides the point. NYC has a large Mexican population, and I can easily prove that none of those "exotic" things you listed are specific to California and can all be found in New York, in great abundance.

What difference does it make? Hispanic people eat all kinds of food, Mexican, Chinese, Italian just like everyone else regardless where they’re from. I don’t understand what point you guys are trying to make.

He's insinuating that LA Mexican food is somehow more authentic than that of NYC.
Sure LA has greater abundance of Mexican food, but NYC does have a large Mexican population, and there are a ton of Mexican run restaurants/taco trucks catering to Mexican immigrants and their children.
