17 year old with a provisional license driving a 200K Lamborghini without a supervising adult in the car. What could possibly go wrong?
I have no sympathy for these parents at all. This boy deserves whatever punishment he gets from the courts, he had been cited before so this was not his first time speeding. He knew that what he was doing was reckless and dangerous.
The poor young woman who died was beautiful and had so much going for her. What a terrible, senseless tragedy for that family.
Why was his mother weeping? He's still alive and uninjured. The parents of Monique Muñoz surely wept in private at their tragic loss.
I can think of a lot of reasons she was crying in court. Crying because she was scared he would be tried as an adult. She could also be crying because he killed someone.
The kid comes from money. He will not see justice.
No true..........kid in Tampa with a brand new Mustang GT was drag racing and killed a mom/toddler in a stroller. Kid got 24 years, the other kid racing who hit no one got 6 years. Kid was going 102 in a 45, but black box noted he had driven 162 mph earlier in the week showing a pattern of reckless driving.
Kid is 20 now, so he will be out by 40........no college degree/work history and a felony record. He is a young white 140 lb rich kid who will be abused in prison for decades by the prison gangs. He isn't dead, but he will wish he was for years to come.
There are NO winners in these cases. Everyone is a victim in the end.
