Renner Middle is the only PISD that is closed to students outside of its attendance zone that I am aware of. You will have to be responsible for transportation.

Slightly different question, if a student is currently attending Jasper high school and parents move out of the school district, can the student continue attending Jasper high school?

Can the same student attend Plano West senior high after graduating from Jasper while the parents moved out of the PISD? May be moved to Frisco.

I guess an example would be parents moving to FISD (Frisco ISD) but the student is still either attending Jasper high school, would the said student be allowed to continue attending Jasper?

How does this work if the said student completes Jasper high school in PISD and wants to attend Plano West Senior High, will he be allowed to do so?

Anything similar in Plano ISD? Thanks!
Commenting because I haven't seen this issue addressed yet, but I'm pretty sure that all IB students go to Plano East.

Thank you for the reply. Further looking at FISD's website, it appears Frisco doesn't allow out of district transfers but PISD does. Asking because say parents end up buying home in Frisco, how would the transfer requests work if the kids need/want to stay in their current high school or senior high school? I guess what I'm trying to find out is sequence of events and what to do at what stage.

Said another way, could parents ask the PISD that they want to keep the kids in their current school but have to move to Frisco for primary residence. This is kinda of a thought exercise at this point but wanted to know what-if scenarios and plan accordingly.

In theory, if a district allows in district transfers or has an open district policy, you can transfer to any school you want (if there's a space). It depends if district is a newly developing area with lots of families (such as frisco). In my district, class size needs to be 24, but they could fill up to 20-21, so if someone wants to transfer to this school, it should be easy.
