Lol, well the Pittsburgh area does have a West Virginia/Appalachia influence, but still.

I know next to nothing about Mississippi, but I'll believe it.

It’s the south/ southwest. I grew up in NC and lived in a for over a decade. Texas does have southern flavor, but at the same time, it’s different than the southeast. The landscape and vibe is just a bit different. It sits right in the middle of the country’s and has some characteristics of both southwest and southeast. It kind of like that mixed kid at school who don’t quite know who to fit in with.

Is London French or Scottish?

I know people in Tennessee who would be happy to let Mississippi have it.

To be clear, I didn’t realize that this question would sound stupid to some of you guys. I’m from Phoenix and I’ve never been to Texas but I’ve always thought of part of it as Midwestern. I was genuinely asking a question about your wonderful city.

There is nowhere in Texas that feels culturally like the Midwest. In fact Oklahoma feels more Southern than Midwest, so do parts of Kansas and Missouri for that matter.
