Hi,
There's a possibility I might relocate for work in Aurora. Currently living in central Virginia with wife and 3 kids (11, 7, 1). Just curious as to thoughts of family life in Aurora vs. the other areas of Denver. I've always been pretty adamant about living close to work (i.e., at the very most 30 minutes), so naturally my eye would be on Aurora first. But I was looking for some feedback from you locals. Much appreciate anything you have to offer. Thanks!

Aurora is a pretty large area. Do you know cross streets?

What else is important? Buy? Rent? Budget?

The location is near Buckley AFB (Buckley & Alemeda Pkwy); I tell you any more and it'd be no good for either of us.....They. Are. Watching.......

Aside from that, I'm looking for 3-4 bed homes in the 200-250K price range if that helps.

Thanks.

I live about ten minutes away from there.

As noted, Aurora is quite large (3rd largest city in Colorado) and diverse.

There are two school districts in Aurora, Aurora Public Schools and Cherry Creek Public Schools. Aim for a house in the latter. There will be houses available in your price range for that.

Some parts of Aurora are great, some not so great. There are a number of parks, shopping centers, a couple of resevoirs. Depending on where you move to, downtown Denver might only be a fifteen minute drive away.

Aurora is on the plains, BTW, so you're not going to be in the mountains. From Aurora, you'll have to drive about 40 minutes (give or take) to reach mountains. Something to think about if that's something you're interested in.
