I understand what you were trying to say now. I too am scared of what these groups that are hell bent on violence and disruption. I am all for the peaceful protesters, but groups like the Anarchist group that attempted to blackmail our government for money scare me, I dint want our tax money to clean up after these goofballs.

All the protesting is to take place in designated areas I think civic center park and the parking lot of the pepsi center are going to be where most of it will take place. The security at this thing is going to be so tight that it will most likely be safer during the convention than any other normal day of the week. Downtown is literally going to be swarming with police, secret service and probably military. Probably a good waste of taxes but hey at least Hillary will be able to sleep soundly lol

All the protesting is supposed to take place in the designated areas. No one has a crystal ball to know if the protesters are going to abide by this. As I said earlier (yesterday?), Re-Create 68 will not renounce violence.

Steve, oh silly Steve. I agree w/katiana. There are many groups out there and while they are supposedly to be contained, well, we all know that's not an absolute. You say downtown is going to be swarming, well as for the Mall and 17th, Secret Service and the police have been swarming for quite some time. I think it was two months ago that we were briefed by Secret Service. Most definitely by bldg. has been running drills for the last two months.

I don't think it's a waste of tax money, I think the WAR is a waste of tax money. I think our absolute pathetic reliance on oil is a waste of tax money. But not having security for something like this.

I hope it's fun though, I can just walk by Civic Center park from my work, I'm hoping to catch Public Enemy.

Why couldn't John Edwards have run for the presidency? He would have been a shoe in.
If he were the candidate, it would all be over for him at this point. Haven't you heard the news? I guess that's why I don't put much faith in any candidate of either party - they tend to do stupid things that make me doubt all politicians.

Hopefully Obama has kept his zipper shut in the past. McCain doesn't exactly have a clean record either, but as long as they can keep him away from the Viagra until November, he probably won't have any recent sex scandals.

Denverian, I think Viagra might push McCain over the edge! And yeah, Edwards is busy taking care of his surely p.o.'d wife and illegitimate child.

I can take the bus - but I really don't hold out any hope that will be any better. Mostly because so many other people will be doing the same. The bus that I would normally take is pretty much standing room in the morning anyway.

But, eh. It could be worse. I could be unemployed.

I bet you are riding my bus, 122, 120? I'm on that one too. But I only go as far as Thornton park n ride and then drive home, so it's much more sane for me. On Thurs. us girls are leaving really early because we are thinking that our buses will be super late by having to take detours to come downtown.

It could def. be worse. I'm sure people would love to have my job.

Hey guys, looks like Public Enemy isn't playing at Civic Center: : (
