I just got this yesterday, it was a belated birthday gift from my mom. She had already given me something on my birthday but wanted me to have this too. I started using it today. I am in the assement phase. I walked 1.6 miles on my treadmill. (40 minutes) It automatically calculates activity points once you are finished with the assement phase. I am not much of a mover or exerciser but this is now helping me to get more active. The last time I used my treadmill was 1 year ago. It felt great. I wear it all day no matter what I am doing. Take it off when I go to sleep. It cost's $35.00 and the monthly fee is $5.00.Easy to install and use.Does anyone else have it?
I have it. It's so light I forget I'm wearing it. My daily goal is 4 points (I sit at a desk all day ). I haven't been paying much attention to it, but this week I'm trying to get back into the exercise routine. It definitely doesn't give you as many points for things as you would think. I found out I was overestimating my activity points.
Well I walked on the treadmill this morning for 30 minutes my plan was 45 minutes until the belt on the treadmill started to bunch up, so I had to stop. Hubby has to fix it. Damn! I was so mad.
Once you are out of the assessment phase, remember that it doesn't start calculating your points until you hit your baseline (from assessment). If you get up in the morning and do a workout, it won't show as many activity points as you think. It measures all movement, so you won't necessarily get a bunch of points from a typical workout. That is discouraging for some people, good for others. I was a little bummed about that aspect but I am still using it. It is a good tool and a good way to motivate yourself to be more active throughout the day.
Oh, and in addition to being waterproof it is also dryer proof. LOL
I walked on the tread mill 3 days so far, 40 minutes Monday, 30 m inutes Tuesday and 20 minutes last night. Today I plan to walk again and try 40-45 minutes.
Well the belt on my treadmill went, I ordered a new one online and hope to have it this Wednesday. I was active on the tread mill 3 days in a row which is good. I can't wait to get back to it once hubby puts on the new walking belt.
I am done with my assessment phase. The average activity points I should be doing every day is 3. In 12 weeks they say I should be at 5 activity points per day. My treadmill is fixed and I walked 1.3 miles on the treadmill (30 minutes)
I earned a total of 24 activity points for the week. So far this week I have earned 6. I was working at the school last week and very active plus walking on my treadmill, this week only using the treadmill and I have not been called in to work at the school so I am not moving as much as i would like but I am still exercising and that's good.
So far this week I have earned 12 activity points. 5 points yesterday 4 points today and 3 points on monday. I am moving alot more due to a new job. How's everyone else douing with the active link?
