Breakfast food is usually too sweet (cereal, fruit, yogurt, granola, pastries, pancakes, etc) unless you like bacon, sausage and eggs. Yuck. I prefer lunch and dinner meal selections which is why I can skip breakfast and be okay.

Really - that is what you consider breakfast - sugar laden processed food (except for the fruit) or fat-laden processed pork by-products - that is not breakfast food - that is junk food - and I agree - skip that horrible stuff and have yourself a whole-food nutritious breakfast instead.

Breakfast food is whatever you eat during your first meal of the day, no matter what food it is, and no matter what time of day you eat it.

If your dinner ended at 7PM, you eat nothing until the next day, get up at 7AM, and don't eat til 2 in the afternoon, then your breakfast is at 2 in the afternoon.

The word "breakfast" means, literally, "the break of your fast." It is when you stop fasting, and start eating. Breakfast doesn't mean "morning meal" no matter what anyone demands that it means. Morning is simply when most people eat their breakfast, and so breakfast typically implies your morning meal. If you don't eat a morning meal, then no, your breakfast isn't your morning meal.

Breakfast food corresponds with juice, cereal, toast, pancakes, eggs, etc. etc. etc. because typically, people eat those types of food for their morning meal. They don't have to, but they usually do. There's no reason why you can't have a salad for breakfast. Or a slice of pizza. Of chopped liver on rye. Or salmon with dill and string beans almondine. There's also no reason why you can't have a waffle for lunch, or a bowl of oatmeal for dinner.

When you're chained to the convention of commercialism, it's hard to notice that the rest of the world doesn't necessarily comply along with you. Unchain yourself to that convention, and you'll realize that there are other options.

Most of people think that it helps to reduce weight if you skip breakfast, but it is a dangerous thing it have many side effects. It can also cause premature death, if you skip your breakfast, then there is 24% more chance of heart attack. Breakfast is must for your body because there is a long time gap from your dinner to breakfast and if you skip your breakfast also then it is bad for your body. According to expert the breakfast is the most important meal for your body, never skip your breakfast.

In experiments, when rats' ovaries were removed (creating a hormonal issue), they gained weight. They gained the same amount of weight regardless of caloric intake. If the rat was "starved", they would simply become perfectly still except when new food was given to them. They would only move more if given more calories. When you feed yourself less, you will move less. You will do it subconsciously perhaps, like looking for close parking spots to avoid walking, or taking the elevator instead of the stairs. Aside of a nonrealistic condition like Jillian Michaels locking you away in an internment camp and yelling Tony Robbins -esque feel good nothings in your ear, you are going to sit still more often because that is your biological response to being starved.

So much wrong with this paragraph, I don't even know where to start. Short periods of fasting are not bad for your body, in fact the research so far has clearly shown the opposite.

I can see that. Good thing I'm not talking about starvation, I'm just talking about waiting a few more hours after waking up before having your first meal.

It's make more sense to just stop eating after 7PM the night before, than it would be to wake up at 7AM, get out of bed, do your usual things, go to work, school, etc. etc. and not eat til lunchtime.

I don't eat after 7pm, I don't eat until at least 7AM the next morning. I'm already not eating for 12 hours straight. There's no reason why I should intentionally deprive myself of food any longer than that.

There actually are reasons, but whatever flats your boat
