Nowhere near the same amount. To see things so black & white, as in ban-bad, subsidize-good; then with all it's potential bad, why was alcohol re-legalized? (Drunk drivers and violent drunks cause several times more damage than all illicit drug use combined) Why don't we ban firearms? When you can answer these questions reliably, you are free to ask your quoted question again.

But the obvious answer to those questions are "the so-called cure is worse than the disease". This is clearly the case with the infinite, Orwellian "drug war".

In the same way we prohibit drunks but not alcohol we should prohibit drugees but not drugs. Anything else is a pathetic nanny-state exercise in failure.

Yes, do your house hunting in El Paso, not Juarez.

Yep, just follow that and you will be fine. Regardless of your initial thoughts, or things you may have heard. El Paso is an extremely safe city. Probably safer than the place you are moving from.

juarez is seriously just as dangerous as baghdad, if not more. the mexican government needs to seriously get ahold of their country. i doubt it will happen though; im sure there are plenty of politicians being paid off by the cartels to keep their nose out of other people's business.

There you go. Canada > Mexico. Maple syrup rocks.

Yes there's something more going on than just some pot smuggling. A lot of stolen vehicles including carjackings and bank robberies.
