I haven't gotten my calculator out yet but does this add up to 16,800 votes? It doesn't seem like it to me and that is what CNN said the total number (approx) of votes were.
i have been watching is some on FOX. I think it is probably close to that, which is a victory for about 4 candidates, certainly Paul. Also Bachmann obviously, Santorum actually, as he did better than expected and yes, Perry because he was a write in, not particularly popular at this minute in Iowa and he beat others who were on the ballot. I know you don't want to hear this and I know you will not agree, but Paul is looking real tired already. This could catch up with him in the next 6 months which will end his bid...

Paul isn't stupid (I don't think), he should know the fix is in. He might as well end this charade now. Either that, or run as an independent..where liberals like me, who are intrigued by some of his positions, would have an opportunity to possibly vote for him..

Oh come on Upton.
If you are registered libertarian, I can't imagine you are politically lazy.

I'm registered libertarian.
Join me as I change my affiliation to put Ron over the top in the GOP Primaries. I know, we have to hold our nose and squinch our eyes but we can do it! It is for an excellent cause.

If we can get Ron past the GOP neocon Gatekeepers, he will be our next POTUS.

I haven't voted in a presidential race since the mid 90's.
I finally feel like I have a candidate and I'll do whatever I ethically can to support him on the way to the white House.

I'd be focusing more on Santorum grabbing 10% to finish in 4th position. Momentum is everything, and I see Santorum jumping over three contenders as something big. He went from dead last to nearly overtaking Pawlenty. Nobody else acheived anything close to that in Iowa this week. Keep your eyes on this guy, he just might be the dark horse.

i think that the results are fine. bachmann is a fiscal conservative and is actually from iowa so it shouldn't be surprising that she would poll well in that state.

i bet some in the media are surprised with paul's high 2nd place showing.

you go, ron paul!

At this point Beavis and Butthead, or even mickey mouse would beat Obama in a landslide.

LOL. No chance in Hades that Obama will be re-elected no matter who opposes him. Obama is toast.
